Budget 2025 ::- India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented Union Budget in Parliament on Saturday, February 1, 2025 Union Budget 2024 has made important announcements in various sectors, which will benefit common citizens
1. Increase in capital expenditure: The government has earmarked ₹11.11 lakh crore for infrastructure and projects, which will increase employment opportunities and boost economic growth.
2. Incentive for start-ups: Angel tax on start-ups has been abolished, which will provide financial support to new entrepreneurs and boost entrepreneurship.
3. Corporate Tax Cut: The tax rate for foreign companies has been reduced from 40% to 35%, which will attract foreign investment and increase employment opportunities.
4. Support for agriculture sector: Rs 1.52 lakh crore has been earmarked for the development of agriculture sector, which will increase the income of farmers and strengthen the rural economy.
5. Special Scheme for Women: 52.4 lakh families will be given 3 free gas cylinders every year under the Chief Minister’s Food Security Scheme. Also, there is a plan to distribute pink e-rickshaws to 10,000 women across the state, which will promote women empowerment.
6. Infrastructural development: Huge funds have been allocated for the development of roads, express-ways and other infrastructural facilities, which will improve transportation and accelerate economic activities.
